Meet Dr. Stanley Lent

Dr. Stanley Lent founded Transitions in Dentistry to help buyers transition into their new dental practices. Dedicated to the dental community, he is committed to client confidentiality and has over 50 years experience in buying and selling dental practices as both a dentist and a realtor.

Dr. Stanley Lent was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and attended college at the University of Southern California. He completed his post graduate education at Georgetown University, receiving a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1976. Following dental school, he completed a general practice residency at the Palo Alto VA Hospital. While in private practice, Dr. Lent dedicated himself to providing the highest quality dentistry possible to his patients in a technologically sophisticated environment. 

A very active member of the dental community, Dr. Lent has served as President of the Mid-Peninsula Dental Society and President of the Board of Child Advocates of San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties. He also enjoys mentoring new doctors which he continues to do as a consultant. Nearly 20 years ago, he began his consulting business which provides him the opportunity to combine his dental practice knowledge, experience as a realtor, and his personal experience of acquiring and transitioning dental practices. Through his consulting business, he is able to assist dentists locate and acquire a dental practice. After the acquisition he and his team are able to help stabilize staff and patients, while training teams and implementing systems.  

In his free time, he enjoys all sports. Golf remains a great passion after playing in high school and college.
